What is Tekion ARC

Tekion ARC (Automotive Retail Cloud) is a next-generation, cloud-native platform designed to modernize and unify the entire automotive retail experience. Developed by Tekion, ARC serves as a comprehensive Dealer Management System (DMS) that integrates all dealership operations—from sales and service to CRM and accounting—into a single, seamless ecosystem. 

ICON 

NAME AND FUNCTION 

  

APP FOLDER  

The App Folder icon is used to indicate a collection of multiple apps or tiles. The notch at the top signifies that there are more apps inside, rather than just a single tile. 

  

 

 

KEBAB OR KEBAB MENU  

The Kebab Menu, represented by three horizontal or vertical dots, provides access to configurable areas or alternative actions that can be performed. 

 

HAMBURGER MENU  

The Hamburger Menu, depicted as three horizontal lines, typically appears in the corner of the screen and is used to access navigation areas. 

 

FIELD SETTING OR GEAR ICON  

The Field Setting or Gear icon is often used to provide configuration options for column headings on the screen. 

 

FILTER OR FILTER FUNNEL  

The Filter icon, shown as a funnel, allows users to narrow down displayed information based on defined criteria. 

 

 

AUDIT LOG OR HISTORY  

The Audit Log icon enables users to view a record of changes made on a screen, including the date and time stamps, and the user who made them. 

 

 

 

DOWNLOAD  

The Download icon allows users to hover over it to view available download options, such as PDF, Excel, and other formats. 

 

UPLOAD  

The Upload icon is used to upload completed templates, images, or other files to the system. 

 

REFRESH  

The Refresh icon updates the screen with any newly changed information, such as posted items or edits, while retaining applied filters. Unlike the browser’s refresh option, it does not reset filters. 

 

ADD OR PLUS  

The Add icon is used to add a new record, such as creating an appointment or adding an entry. 

 

THUMBTACK OR PIN  

The Thumbtack icon allows users to pin an application or folder to the quick panel for easy access. 

 

EDIT OR PENCIL 

The Edit icon provides the option to edit details of an item when clicked. 

 

NOTEPAD 

The Notepad icon indicates that a note has been added to an item. Clicking it also allows users to create a new note. 

 

BACK ARROW  

The Back Arrow icon takes users to the previous screen when clicked. 

 

 

TOGGLE  

The Toggle icon allows users to switch a function on or off when clicked. 

 

CALENDAR 

The Calendar icon is displayed wherever a date or date range can be selected. Clicking it allows users to select dates. 

 

TRASH CAN OR DELETE 

The Delete icon is used to delete an item, usually a line item, without showing a confirmation message. 

 

INFORMATION OR ICON 

Hovering over the Information icon provides additional details about the associated function or feature. 

 

EXPAND ARROW  

The Expand arrow icon is used to expand a row or section for more details when clicked. 

 

 

 

DROP-DOWN ARROW  

The Drop-down Arrow icon opens a menu or list of additional selections when clicked. 

 

DRAG HANDLE  

The Drag Handle icon allows users to drag and drop items to reorder them, commonly found in the quick panel or within gear settings. 

 

PRINTER 

The Printer icon enables users to print the current screen or document when clicked. 

 

SEARCH OR MAGNIFYING GLASS 

The Search icon allows you to search the screen or dropdown based on certain parameters. 

 

APP GRID  

The App Grid icon opens the quick panel and expands the App Grid Menu, providing access to various applications. 

 

 

PAPERCLIP OR ATTACH 

The Paperclip icon allows users to attach files, such as documents or images, to the current screen or item. 

 

SORT ARROWS 

The Sort Arrows icon, found in column headers, allows users to sort the column in ascending or descending order. Clicking the arrows toggles the sorting order. 

 

COPY 

The Copy icon lets users copy the associated information to the clipboard, which can then be pasted elsewhere. 

 

FLAG OR HOLD FLAG 

The Flag icon is used to flag an item with specific parameters, such as placing an invoice on hold. Once clicked, the flag changes color to indicate its status. 

COMMUNICATION BUBBLE

The Communication bubble icon opens a window for sending messages internally or externally when clicked.
